SEIKAIHA Large Bowl

Japanese made ceramic large bowl featuring the traditional Seikaiha blue wave design with glazed textured black colour rim.

This Seikaiha pattern is found in many historical garments such as Japanese kimonos.

This size bowl is an example of Donburi-bachi bowls which are used for noodles and ramen. These bowls are often slightly larger than the typical Japanese bowl. Donburi-bachi are most commonly used during the winter months for warmer dishes but can also be used within the summer.
