About the Author and Illustrator

Nature and all the wonderful animals with which we share this world have always enthralled Hanrie Coetzee. She creates work by letting her imagination run wild. With A Counting Adventure she hopes to foster a love for and fascination with nature in kids. She has travelled widely to study wildlife, and wrote this book whist living in Melbourne. Hanrie currently lives in the famous Kruger National Park in South Africa, where hippos graze her lawn and elephants eat her vegetable garden.
