SEIKAIHA Small Bowl

Japanese made ceramic small bowl featuring the traditional Seikaiha blue wave design with glazed textured black colour rim.

This Seikaiha pattern is found in many historical garments such as Japanese kimonos.

This small bowl (Kobachi) is normally used to hold Sunomono (vinegared salad), Aemono (dressed dish), Nimono (simmered dish), or Chinmi (special delicacies). It can also be used as an individual dish for hot pot.
